Hormone tests in Leeds
I oversee treatments for early puberty, late puberty, growth hormone deficiency and thyroid problems.
When hormone levels change drastically, it may result in growth, puberty or reproductive disorders. Some concerns may be normal physiological variations, which do not require further tests. Some need monitoring and some need testing and treatment. Here at the Child Growth Clinic, I provide an expert opinion in all aspects of endocrinology. Please contact me via email to book your appointment.
Endocrinology Tests include:
Treatments for hormone problems
Children and Adolescents up to age 18 are seen in the Child Growth Clinic
All these will be discussed sensitively, and treatment will be recommended only if required. This may include:
- Testosterone or Oestrogen for delayed puberty in males and females respectively
- Medicine to pause early puberty temporarily
- Treatment for metabolic bone disease
- Growth Hormone injections
- Hydrocortisone for adrenal failure
Under-active or over-active thyroid
A thyroid test is used to determine whether your thyroid is under-active or over-active. This is a simple and easy way to determine if you have a thyroid imbalance. I am here to advise you on the most effective treatment.
